ECC partners with Wesley House Emergency Shelter in Chester, PA to provide Welcome Kits for families who are seeking emergency shelter at this facility. Recipient families will take the supplies provided in the kits with them as they move to their transition homes and eventually to their permanent homes. If you prefer to make a cash donation, please do so now and ECC volunteers and/or Wesley House staff are available to shop for desired items. Providing meals to less fortunate families with children under 18 years old at Thanksgiving and Christmas. This program is supported by donations from the community. Food baskets usually include a turkey or ham with all of the trimmings for a Holiday dinner. In addition, this program provides presents for low-income and/or high-risk families with children under 11 years old at Christmas time.
Providing college supplies to first generation and low-income college students to assist them in their goal of graduating from college. Eligible students for this program will be matched to mentors in the community to help assist them to achieve their goals. Funding for this program is supported by donations from the community and in the future, some grant funding will be procured.
